From the Manufacturer
The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

the boots are of excellent workmanship and quality, while at the first few times, they are pretty bone-hard, they become softer after a few times of wearing. and they look great !

By ChadL
This is my second pair of this particular model of Frye boot, which attests to its quality. The coloring is better than I expected (quite similar to the picture actually--dark brown and dark rusty-tan) and the boot is not as shiny as the picture suggests. Overall a great pair of boots.

By R. Casey
Ordered this boot after searching online.
Did not quite appeal to me as I expected from the online view. The boots looked good and well constructed but were way too big as I ordered the same size as my Timberland Pro work boots I have had for 15 years. (9D)
Rather than try alternate sizes I just returned them.
I have a Prime membership so returns were free - and the full credit hit my VISA as soon as UPS got the boots for return.
That was impressive to me.
